3.3 - 3.3.1- Synopsis of our complete film (Thriller)

In our groups of 3, our task was to discuss the opening sequence of our film. As a group we have agreed that our opening sequence will be under the genre Thriller. The plot of our thriller film is going to be about a young woman, in her early 20's sitting down with another character - which is the police.

The woman (Maddy) is terrified and is explaining what has happened to her. Whilst Maddy - the main characters name- Starts to explain to the police in the interview room, the night of the incident and what exactly had happened. During the conversation between Maddy and the police man - A high paced use of flashbacks will be used to re-enforce what Maddy - the character is saying, and creating a fear among the audiences. The flashbacks itself, will be re-enforced with use of sharp sound effects.

The flashbacks will contain a view of Maddy continuously being chased by someone, which the audiences cannot see the face of the psycho chaser- till the end of the sequence, which the camera only gets the rare glimpse at. However by this stage Maddy slowly starts to remember who the psycho chaser was, while she explains the night of the incident, as it turns out to be the police man. The sequence hopefully will generate fear or at least a wonder within the audience - in terms of what will happen next if the sequence was turned into a film. The main character - Maddy's social status is a young working class woman.
